There is more than sit and stay...

Most dogs like to fetch, to run after thrown objects. But they only bring them back a few times, if at all. In this course we will focus on different options, e.g. simple retrieve, multiple retrieves, retrieves over hurdles, dummy launcher retrives.

The physical and mental exercise of the family dog is the main focus. This makes retrieving fun for everyone.
In this course we offer

-
Various options for retrieving
-
Working with several dummies at the same time
-
Developing impulse control, the dog waits until he can start
-
Incorporating tricks and equipment into the retrieval, such as jumping over hurdles with a retrieving object.
And this is how we proceed:

-
Introduction to the task
-
Everyone works for themselves, according to their abilities
-
Individual assistance
-

Lungeing 4 Dogs
Start next group: TBA
8 sessions á 1 hour (1 theory + 7 practical + Handout)
Price: $345 per dog-handler team
Lungeing? YES, you heard right! As with horses, dogs learn to run in a circle around their owners. A flutter band is stretched as an aid, which the dog can use to orient itself. The owner is in the middle of the circle and gives the dog various body language signals, which the dog then has to carry out from a distance. In this way, we direct the dog's focus more and more to its owner.
But that is not the only positive effect of lunging. The owner also learns to direct their dog from a distance using body language alone. This is an indispensable relief in everyday life, because here too the dog will increase its focus on the owner and be able to be influenced from a distance.

CONTENTS
• Working on the circle
• Walking on a leash
• Increasing attention
• Working on the circle with stops and changes in tempo
• Turns on the circle, using body language alone
• Body language and its effects
• Distance work
GOAL
At the end of the seminar, every dog will work on the circle and
respond to commands from the center.
